Feng Shui Cures

During a consultation, you will be advised to make subtle changes in your home or office environment.

These will always fit in with current décor and will be hardly perceptible to anyone else. You may be advised to rearrange furniture. Occasionally the allocation of a room may be discussed. Generally the changes will make use of items you already have in your home or office, such as plants, pictures and ornaments.

Adjustments have a powerful effect, which can happen immediately, or may take few months. Some of the cures which may be advised are mentioned below:

The Five Elements

Wood
Fire
Earth
Metal
Water

Most Feng Shui cures relate to the five phases of energy as manifested through the five elements, which are wood, fire, earth, metal and water. In order to balance energy, the introduction or reduction of one or more element may be suggested. These elements all have representative colours, shapes and materials.

Wood
- light blue, green - tall and narrow - wooden

Fire
- red, purple, pink - triangular - light, fire, heat

Earth
- yellow, cream, brown - wide, low and solid - stone, crystal, soil

Metal
- white, metallic, grey - circular and domes/arches - metal, mirrors, bells/metal sound

Water
- dark blue, black - wavy and flowing - real, moving water

Moving Water
Water features, aquariums and fountains allow water to move and interact with the air, and are one of the most powerful cures in Feng Shui. They harness chi and can bring prosperity. They should only be used in specific locations and should be kept clean and fresh.

Mountains
Heavy objects, such as large pieces of furniture, walls or big plants are used in specific locations to promote health.

Doors
The use, condition and colours of principal doors will be discussed.

NB live water, wind chimes and mirrors should be used with care as they can have undesirable effects if placed in certain locations.
